Start from third row in Valencia Andreas Zuber starts from third row at main race in Valencia
The Moser Medical Group driver reaches fifth place at qualifying on Friday, less than five tenths behind

The premiere of the GP2 on the town circuit of Valencia posed several problems to the drivers. Thus the qualifying was marked by spins, crashs and yellow flags. The session even had to be stopped for a short time when Kobayashi hit a wall. Andreas Zuber encountered no such problems but a lot of traffic instead which made the hoped-for place in first starting row impossible to reach. In the end the 24-year-old Styrian finished in fifth position - less than five tenths behind pole-position-man Giorgio Pantano. This means that he will take up tomorrow's first GP2-run in the Spanish city of Valencia from third row.

"There simply was too much traffic. Which naturally is a double-disadvantage at a town circuit. I could, in fact, only go for one fast lap. Considering this the result isn't that bad at all, taking into account that I am less than five tenths behind Pantano. What is possible with our car, when you have got a clear road, was shown by my teammate", said Andreas Zuber.

The very one, Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado, must surely count as the surprise of the qualifying. He was only beaten by 0,071 seconds by overall leader Giorgio Pantano. And this is exactly why Andreas Zuber does have hopes for tomorrow's run: "The race will be long, so a lot can happen. And it is also obvious that my Piquet Sports-car is fast. Therefore my only goal can be: a place on the podium."
