First starting row in Budapest Andreas Zuber enters tomorrow's GP2-run in Budapest from first starting row

The 24-year-old Styrian reaches second place in the qualifying behind Grosjean

The free training session on Friday morning on the Hungaroring in Budapest already proved to be very promising for Andreas Zuber. The 24-year-old Styrian reached best-time ahead of the overall leader of the GP2-season 2008, Giorgio Pantano. And the qualifying on the 4,381 kilometres long circuit in the Hungarian capital went almost equally well for the Moser Medical Group driver. Only Sebastien Grosjean was faster than Zuber in the Piquet Sports-racer - by a mere 8 hundredths of a second.

"One has to be satisfied with such a result even if more might have been possible. For I had a lot of traffic during the first two laps, therefore only the third one was my fastest. But everything is very close: di Grassi, for instance, is only two thousandths behind me. Which is why I really can't complain", explains Andreas Zuber.

One is also relieved at the Piquet Sports Team that the technical problems which had occured during the last races are under control. Zuber: "Equally important is that we have found a solution for the tyres that had worn off rather early on." A fact that is of importance on a circuit like the Hungaroring which is very tough on the tyres. There is just one little drawback for Andreas Zuber: "Tomorrow I'll have to take up the race from the dirty side of the circuit. But if the start is okay anything is possible."

The main goal for the Styrian tomorrow is, of course, to score the first victory this GP2-season - after second place at the sprint race of Hockenheim.
