A lot of work: eighth place as a result

A lot of work for Andreas Zuber

and eighth place as a result

Andreas Zuber reached eighth-best time on the second day of GP-testing in Paul Ricard (Le Castellet). Compared to yesterday’s circuit times the 24-year-old Styrian was able to improve by 0,15 seconds. Even though the Piquet Sports-driver had reached second-best time on Friday he was nevertheless satisfied with the two days of testing.

Zuber: “Today we tried out a lot. During the 31 rounds in the morning we worked very hard on the springs, the dampers and the differential. We also tested several new sets of tyres. Our focus was therefore on good testing results and less on the actual times. All in all I am very satisfied.”

In the afternoon 12 rounds were once again used for extensive testing. When Andreas Zuber finally wanted to try a fast round the gas engine of the accelerator broke down which spelt the end of the testing mission.

Zuber: “On the weekend Piquet Sports will analyse all data and then perfectly prepare the car for Barcelona. There we plan to turn the knowledge gained into fast circuit times.”

The next two days of GP-testing will already take place on March 4 and 5 on the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.
