Andreas Zuber in third place at season's first qualifying in Barcelona 24-year-old Styrian is set for podium in the race on Saturday as well Andreas Zuber (Piquet Sports) has passed the first acid test of this season with flying colours. Following his best-time at the first free training session on Friday the Styrian took third place in the qualifying. Thus the 24-year-old will start from second row at the first run to the GP2-season 2008 on Saturday. "I am very satisfied. Unfortunately there was a lot of traffic during my fastest lap and I even had to overtake a car. That cost at least three tenth of a second. Nevertheless: we have done a very good job and Piquet Sports has prepared my GP2-car perfectly", explains Andreas Zuber. Zuber's teammate Pastor Maldonado (Venezuela) marked best-time in the qualifying but that doesn't unsettle the Styrian: "I was faster than him in the training and I know I can be as well in the race. The internal competition only makes me faster. I definitely want to reach the podium on Saturday." The first of two runs on the Circuit de Catalunya extends over 39 rounds (or 75 minutes) and will start on Saturday at 16.00. The length of the circuit measures exactly 4.655 kilometres. The second race will commence on Sunday already at 10.30 and will last for 26 runs or 45 minutes. The starting order for the second run follows from the result on Saturday whereupon the first eight will start in reverse order. GP2-qualifying in Barcelona 01.
